Mon Joan Tiquat (Musician and Composer)

 

Joan develops an special affection to the stage with just five years old by performing in Mozart's piece "Magic Flute" as Papaguenet in Teatre Principal, Palma de Mallorca.

 

Since then he has taken the stage as actor, director's assistant, chorister, percussionist, guitar player or cellist in operas, theater plays, circus shows or concerts in the Balearic Islands or in the Spanish peninsula. 

 

He is also interested in short film as screenwriter, camara, director or actor.  

 

It's been five years since he changed the Mallorca's stages for the bigger ones in Barcelona. He has been playing the cello for such grups as "The big head troubled boy" and "Ljubliana & the Seawolf" (recently nominated for a Goya to Best Original Song for the film "Dixi y la rebelión Zombie")

 

As an actor he's been in "After Juliet", "Benvolio", "El cercle de guix", "Azdak", "Aigües encantades", "Foraster" and "El año que conquistamos Europa, Joanet".

 

In his free time he studies Arts History in Barcelona University.
