Darío Barreto (Dancer)

 

His interest in dance starts in Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Islas Canarias) where he does a two year training in Teatro Victoria.

 

He decides to dig deeply in the contemporary dance technique taking intensive workshops with Cia. DanzaLab, Hofesh Shechter, Iker Gómez and Cia. Provisional Danza among others. During 2012 he also learns and collaborates with Cia. Sonia Rodríguez, Cia. Daniel Abreu and Roberto Torres.

 

As a performer he's taken part in numerous productions: MUVERS (Errequeerre danza), Memo (La Siberia Danza) and FRIDA (Ballet Contemporani de Barcelona) for the Festival GREC in El Mercat de Les Flors (Bcn) are the most important.

 

Darío also has created his own work and has performed in Festival DanzaTac, Festival Canarios dentro y fuera, Museo de la Naturaleza y el Hombre de Tenerife and La Poderosa (Barcelona).

 

He studies for two years Choreography in Institut del Teatre (Barcelona) and for the next years he will be studying in DOCH, University of Dance and Circus in Sweden.
